Purchasing an item.
We accept payment by PayPal or all major credit and debit cards. You may provide card details via the phone or the internet.
Your order will not be accepted until we have received payment for the full price of the goods purchased. We will confirm web orders have been accepted by sending an email to the email address entered at the time of purchase. For orders placed by telephone, acceptance of the order will be given during the call and all terms and conditions will apply to such an order. Upon acceptance of your order a legally binding contract is brought into effect between us. For orders placed over the telephone accepting delivery of the goods will be deemed conclusive evidence you accept these terms and conditions.
The price payable for any goods you order are as set in our website or as quoted by our customer service representative on the telephone.
Your right to cancel the contract.
You may cancel your contract without reason at any time up until the 14th day after receiving the goods ordered. Returns will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% or £20.00 whichever is greater and must be returned within 28 days of purchase.
To cancel the contract you MUST notify us by email unless stated otherwise at firstname.lastname@example.org. Goods MUST be returned to us un-used in all original packaging and with all documentation included with the goods.
If you receive the goods before you cancel the contract you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible or in any event within 14 days. If you cancel your contract before you receive the goods but they have already been processed for delivery you must not unpack the goods when you receive them and the goods must be sent back to our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible or in any event within 14 days.
Once we have been notified by you of the cancelation of the contract, any amounts paid to us by PayPal or credit/debit card, will be re-credited to your account less our costs of sending you the goods and any re-stocking fees as soon as possible or in any event within 30 days of your order. This is provided that the goods returned by you are received by us in the same condition you received them in. If you do not return the goods or do not pay the costs of delivery we shall be entitled to deduct our costs of recovering the goods from the amount re-credited to you.
Our right to cancel the contract.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract if any of the following occur:-
- We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered.
- We do not deliver to your location.
- You have not paid sufficient postage charges to get the item to your location.
- Any of the goods you order were listed at an incorrect price due to a typing error or an error in pricing information received by our suppliers.
- If your credit/debit card issuer or PayPal do not authorise payment.
If we do cancel the contract you will be notified by email and we will re-credit your account with any sum deducted as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order.
If we cancel the contract we will not be obliged to offer any compensation for disappointment suffered.
Shipping and handling
Our standard next day shipping service only includes working days.
All standard delivery charges are for UK mainland only and do not include Scottish Highlands, UK islands and Ireland.
Delivery hours for standard delivery are between 8.00am – 8.00pm on working days.
If your item does not arrive Tintfit Window Films will not class it as being lost in transit until 15 working days have passed. If your item does not arrive once that amount of time has elapsed we will offer you a full refund or repeat the order. Tintfit have no liability to you to issue a refund or a repeat order if we have not been notified by yourself of non delivery within 30 working days.
The goods will be delivered to the address given at the time of ordering and you will become the owner of the goods ordered once delivery to you has been made. Once goods have been delivered we will not be liable for their loss, damage or destruction.
If the goods delivered are not correct in any way including defects, damage and shortages we must be notified within 2 working days of delivery by email at email@example.com or phone on 0191 419 4558 or we will have no liability to you. In addition any items delivered damaged must be signed for at the time of delivery as damaged or unchecked or we will have no liability to you. We recommend that even if the box looks in good condition you sign for it as unchecked.
If we are notified of any of the above problems our only obligation will be:-
- To make good any shortage or non-delivery.
- To replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective.
- To reimburse you the amount paid for the goods as soon as possible or in any event within 30 days.
We shall have no liability to you in the way of compensation or any other financial gains for any failure or delay in delivering goods or any damage or defects to the goods.

Tintfit Window Films do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK, 20.0% VAT is added.
All of our products carry the warranty stated for each individual item against cracking, discolouration and delaminating. Please note that the vast majority of problems found with Window Films are due to installation error and not product failure and this is not covered under warranty. We recommend that customers follow our installation instructions accurately to promote a trouble free product life. This does not affect your statutory rights.
You agree that it is your responsibility to determine if your glass is suitable to have window film fitted to it. Tintfit Window Films cannot be held responsible for any glass breakage or cracking that may result in the fitting of window films to your glass. Please phone 0191 419 4558 for any further information on film compatibility.
We reserve the right for ourselves and our suppliers to inspect claims under the above warranty prior to any settlement being authorised, in any event this could take upto 120 days.
When purchasing a product the buyer agrees that the product installation quality is determined by their own, or their appointed installer's ability and Tintfit Window Films cannot be held responsible for defects or breakages resulting from poor installation. These include, but are not limited to, bubbling, visual impairment, scratches, glass breakage or cracking, damage to surrounding fixtures and fittings, paintwork, personal injury and financial loss.
Tintfit Window Films does not guarantee that the use of safety/security products will prevent injury or criminal access. The films when applied professionally do comply with the Health & Safety Regulation 14 and Building Regulations Document N however self application does not qualify the glass to these regulations. The film is tested to BS6206/EN12600 which categorises the performance of the film and from these tests it can be concluded that safety /security film does increase protection against injury but does not necessarily eliminate injury. Similarly the performance of safety/security films can increase the time and effort required to break through glass but does not prevent access by determined attackers.
All of our products come with a 14 day returns guarantee. Just send the item back to us in its original condition within 14 days of delivery and we will gladly refund your money. We do not require a return authorisation. Returns will be subject to a 20% or £20.00 re-stocking fee, whichever is greater, if the return is due to customer error. We recommend you use an insured carrier to return the item. We will not be responsible for any return postage costs.

If your order is damaged in any way once you receive it i.e. creases in the film, please email or phone us straight away and do not attempt to fit the film, we will replace the damaged unused goods as soon as possible. (We are unable to replace damaged goods if you have tried to fit them).
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
Third Party Rights
Except for our affiliates, directors, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.
If you have any complaints regarding the website or any goods which you have purchased, please e-mail us in the first instance at firstname.lastname@example.org where your complaint will be dealt with fairly and efficiently.
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
