In a recent project, we applied Dark Reflective Silver 20 200 Micron Window Film to a private client’s property in Essex. The client’s primary requirements were to ensure daytime privacy and strengthen the security of the double doors in their new extension. The film’s mirrored finish effectively blocks external views during the day, allowing residents to maintain their privacy without losing natural light.
The Dark Reflective Silver 20 200 Micron film serves as a mirrored safety and security solution. It is equipped with a metalized layer that not only enhances privacy but also offers excellent heat rejection and glare reduction properties. This makes it particularly effective during daylight hours, as it prevents outsiders from seeing in while allowing those inside to see out.
The installation also adds a layer of security, as the film is designed to hold shattered glass together in the event of breakage. This feature helps to meet the safety glass standards (EN12600 1B1) required for many public buildings, offering an additional layer of protection.
